Ecstacies Riddim – Mind Power Records

Ecstasies Riddim finds its pulse in 4Play’s “Likkle Skip, ” a cheeky opener that sets the tone before Aunthentic Luke, Azeez, RammaLow and the rest take their turns over Mind Power Records’ lean 2017 dancehall cut. There’s a compact, streetwise feel to the whole set, the kind of riddim that keeps the arrangement tight and lets the vocal hooks do the heavy lifting rather than crowding the mix with extra frills. Compared with Mind Power’s later 2017 outing on Get Rich Riddim, this one feels a touch more playful and less hard-nosed, with Zotyck’s title track and Young Knockaz’s “Clean and Pure” giving it some of the cleanest contrast. It sits neatly in the producer’s mid-2010s run of concise, singer-friendly dancehall projects, where the emphasis is on sharp cuts, catchy lines and a rhythm built for repeat plays.
