Easy Ride Riddim (2006) – Joe Frasier

Joe Frasier’s 2006 Easy Ride Riddim sits in that smooth mid-2000s reggae pocket where melody and roots feeling do most of the talking, and the set keeps its focus tight with just five cuts. Richie Spice’s “That Is Life” is the one that grabs first, riding the groove with his usual uplift and grit, while Leroy Sibbles brings a more seasoned sweetness on “Sweet Harmony” and Eddie Fitzroy’s title track nods back to the classic “Easy Ride” name with a veteran’s calm. The production has that clean, unhurried Joe Frasier touch — warm bass, crisp guitar skank, nothing rushed — so the voices can carry the weight.
