That Stingray cut from 2002 hangs on a clean, rootsy one-riddim frame and lets the voices do the moving. Bushman’s “U Got Me Goin” opens with the kind of steady uplift he’s always handled well, then Mikey Spice and Sugar Black keep the pressure on with more reflective turns before Sugar Minott’s “Jah Love” brings the veteran weight you’d expect. Tinga Stewart closes the sequence with “Sweet Talk, ” and the lone “Version” slot in the middle says plenty about the producer’s thinking: vocal, dub, vocal, dub, then back to the singers. It’s a compact six-track set, but the order gives it a neat push and pull.
