By 2017, soca in St. Lucia was leaning hard into carnival-ready party cuts, and Dirty Mass Riddim fits that moment with a compact two-song set from Vibez Productionz. Imran Nerdy’s “Rough” and Sedale’s “We Really Bad” keep the focus tight, with the production pushing a bare, driving groove rather than crowding the mix. Vibez Productionz, led by Miguel “Migz” Joseph out of Castries, had already been building a run of locally rooted soca projects, and this one keeps that same island-carnival pulse. The arrangement stays lean, built around a steady kick pattern, clipped percussion and a low bass line that leaves room for the vocals to jab through. “We Really Bad” leans a little more chant-heavy, while “Rough” rides the pocket with a sharper, more direct delivery.
