Dialysis Riddim – Niko Chromatic

Dialysis Riddim lands in that late-summer 2017 dancehall pocket where the music is lean, vocal, and message-minded, with Niko Chromatic steering a four-track set that keeps the focus on the songs rather than any flashy excess. Bugle opens the project with “Cherish Life, ” a sharp, reflective cut that sets the tone, while Jah Vinci’s “Mek It Now” leans more into momentum and urgency. Rockaz Elements and Sicq Up round out the side with “Real And True” and “Nuh Happiness, ” keeping the riddim moving in a straight dancehall line and giving the compilation a nice balance between conscience and attitude. The strongest pull here is still Bugle’s opener, which gives the whole release its emotional center and the clearest reason to return to the riddim.
