YZG Records had already been surfacing in the riddim space before this, with earlier soca work like Stick Up Riddim, so this is not a one-off experiment but part of a small run of seasonal juggling.

The riddim itself sits in that modern soca pocket that is meant for motion first. The title cuts to the mood: plenty of carnival pressure, a cheeky edge, and songs that sound made for fetes, trucks and late-night rewinds. Ava’s Chaotic Monsters sets the tone with a big, high-energy hook built for crowd response. Dior’s Push Back keeps the attitude sharp and dance-forward, while Benji’s Rum Zombie brings the kind of drinking-season imagery that usually travels well in soca. Drastic, the Antiguan singer-songwriter known across soca and related Caribbean styles, is the most familiar name on the list and usually gives a track more personality and range. KuTTit, a veteran Barbadian soca voice, has long been associated with expressive, cheeky material, and Not Taking It Out sounds like it would sit naturally in that lane.
