By 2006, the Caution Riddim sat in that busy mid-2000s dancehall lane where a rhythm lives or dies on the strength of its hooks, and this one keeps its focus tight with five cuts from Kasha, Major Shackie, Shencko, Swar, and William Watts. Kasha’s “Captivation” and Major Shackie’s “Hello” do a lot of the heavy lifting here, riding a stripped-down, bass-forward pattern that leaves plenty of room for the voices to cut through, while Shencko’s “Love De Girls” brings a little more glide to the same framework. There’s no overcrowding or unnecessary trickery in the arrangement; the riddim keeps a clipped, percussive pulse and lets the singers lean into melody and attitude. The tracklist closes with Swar’s “Don’t Wanna Leave” and William Watts’ “Down Wid Me, ” giving the set a neat five-song run anchored by those two cuts at the front.
