Canboulay Riddim – Smiddy Smith Music

Canboulay Riddim arrived in 2024 from Smiddy Smith Music and Monk Music as a six-track soca project with a strong Trinidadian feel and a nod to Carnival heritage in its title. The lineup brings together Steffano Marcano, Super Blue, JW, Preedy, Nessa Preppy and Olatunji, with Canboulay Dancers, Soca Superman and Who Have It among the key cuts. Smiddy Smith handles the production side throughout, and the release was put out under Smiddy Smith Music / Monk Music on December 26, 2024. With Super Blue adding veteran weight and Olatunji and Preedy bringing newer energy, the riddim mixes party-drive with a clear regional identity.
