Coming out of RB Records in late 2011, Broken Yoke Riddim sits in that compact modern dancehall lane with six cuts over a quick 17-minute run, including a straight instrumental pass that keeps the rhythm front and center. The vocal lineup is small but varied: Andrene Lewis opens with the romance-minded No Other Love, Nexchange comes in with the faith-driven J. E. S. U. S, and Rolando Blake handles both the title cut and Dat Me Say, which gives the project a bit of extra weight. Suz’s Eye-Won’T Stop rounds out the set, while the sequencing keeps the riddim moving cleanly without any dead space. Broken Yoke Riddim was released as a six-track EP on December 16, 2011.
