In 2019, when soca was leaning hard into carnival-ready hooks and lean, percussion-driven arrangements, Salty Sound Productions kept Blithesome Riddim focused and dancefloor-minded. The set moves with a bright, springy groove and a clean island bounce rather than crowding the mix, which suits the small but tidy lineup. Primus opens with “Fetta, ” all party energy and immediate lift, while Lulu’s “Music Start It” pushes the melody a little harder and gives the riddim one of its catchiest turns. Valene Nedd closes it out with “Let Them Talk, ” and that last cut leaves the project on a cheeky, confident note, the kind that fits a crop-over season mood without overcooking the arrangement.
