Blackout Riddim – Various Artists

Braveheart’s “Run The Town” is the tune that gives Blackout Riddim its bite, with Cyanide’s “Who Tha” and the Cyanide/Gifta pairing on “What The Fuck” pushing the same clipped, no-nonsense dancehall energy across the set. It’s a very lean various-artists package, only three cuts deep, so the sequencing feels more like a quick sound-system plate than a full compilation, and that economy leaves each vocal line hanging over the rhythm without much room to breathe.
