Mr Lexx (aka Lexxus)

Christopher George Palmer was born on 11 May 1974 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was raised in the Mountain View Area of Jamaica and he went to school at Kingston’s Fox Drama School and he was an actor who appeared in many plays. Palmer was awarded the best Actor award in 1992. He was also a fine dancer who danced for the popular troupe Squad One. His deejaying skills first displayed in 1992 at the Sunday night dances held in Kingston’s Harbor View Area, where he featured the Super Dec Sound System. Palmer impressed some representatives from the New York’s Natural Bridge Record Label who then took him to Kingston’s Mixing Lab recording studios where he recorded his first hit single “Own A Home” at the age of 16.

This was followed by the singles “Unification” and “Ghetto Man Slam”.  In 1997 he released 3 hit singles namely “Fade Away”, “Boogie Woogie” and “Runaway Train” all for producers Steely & Clevie. He got concert bookings in New York and he decided to stay there for a year. He  then returned to Jamaica in 1998 and performed a series of stage shows including the Kingston’s largest annual Dancehall concert, Sting in December 1998. In 1999 Palmer performed at Montego Bay’s Reggae Sumfest Dancehall Night. He recorded hits that included “Get Wid It” produced by King Jammy, “Yuh Nah” and “Cook”, both produced by Steely & Clevie. Besides these there were other hits like “Jigga”, “Straight Up Holla Holla”, “Rather Than” and “Wuk Right Away”.
