Cut in 1968 for an unknown label, Angel Of The Morning Riddim is credited to King Tubby and Duke Reid and carries a tight little lineup built around Joya Landis’ Angel Of The Morning, with Ken Boothe and the later Pat Kelly and Big Joe cut adding extra weight. The dub side, Don’t Touch Dub, gives it that classic studio-era feel, and the set bridges late-60s rocksteady with a 1978 re-cut from Pat Kelly and Big Joe. It’s a compact release, but the combination of Landis’ original version and Boothe’s take makes it one that collectors usually notice quickly.
