Jaland Productions kept Big Baller Riddim lean compared with the bigger multi-artist dancehall sets the name might suggest, trimming it down to four cuts and letting the groove do the talking. The rhythm sits in that mid-tempo, streetwise pocket where each voice has room to jab and roll, and BamFlame’s “Roun Yah Suh” and Lyrical Kranberri’s “Ride On Gal” bring the sharpest early bounce.
