Dub-Stuy’s Answer 2021 Riddim moves with a heavy, minimalist digital pulse, the kind of stripped-back sound that nods to Prince Jammy and Bobby Digital while keeping the bass low and rubbery. Luciano and Mikey General set the tone on “Redemption, ” then Sr. Wilson’s “Foodie Session” and Jonny GoFigure’s “A Different Answer” keep the sequence moving before the full instrumental closes it out. The set reworks the much-versioned “Answer” foundation with all four cuts running at roughly the same length, which gives the whole thing a tight, even feel. DJ Madd handled the production, and the release arrived on July 16, 2021, as a 12-inch and digital issue.
