Devine Sanction Riddim lands as a lean 2017 dancehall cut from Channel 17 Records, carrying just three vocal tracks and an instrumental, so the focus stays tight on the groove and the artists riding it. D’Angel’s “State Of Mind” gives the set its flashiest moment, while Denno’s “Real Links” and Ripah’s “Honor” keep the energy clipped and direct over a spare, hard-edged rhythm bed. Ripah also closes things out with the instrumental version, which lets the production sit on its own and makes the riddim’s shape easy to hear.
