7up Riddim came through in 2015 with a bright, stripped-back dancehall pulse that leans more on bounce and space than heavy ornament, giving the voicing room to punch through. KMG Records lines up a compact set here, and the sharper cuts are easy to hear in Black Lion’s “Funérailles, ” Don Andre’s cheeky “Neddle Eye Pumpum, ” and Doptic’s “Bring You Body Come, ” which had already been pushed as a featured single. The project keeps that same lean energy across the rest of the cast, from Dasinga and Gentelman973 to Young King, and the bonus closer from Lil Keish leaves the riddim on a neat extra turn rather than stretching it out.
