2000 Years Ago Riddim – Impact! is a 1974 Keith Chin production for Impact! , kept to a very small two-track set with Maxie Smith’s 2, 000 Years alongside the dub version. The combination gives it a stripped-back, foundation-style feel, with the vocal cut carrying the release and the version side leaving plenty of room for the rhythm to breathe. Keith Chin’s Impact! imprint was behind a number of early reggae and roots-era sides, and this one fits neatly into that period with its direct, no-frills presentation.
