With the reputation dancehall has, it takes a lot for a song to actually get you to a point where you feel like shedding a tear. Sikka Rymes did his cousin Vybz Kartel and Shawn Storm a solid in his latest tribute for the incarcerated deejays. The recently released touching music video ‘Wul It Out’ has Sikka pouring his heart out for his Gaza connects.
The video produced by Dj Lux Records & Lampshade Muzic commences with an elderly woman expressing how much she appreciated all Da Teacher did, giving him heartfelt messages and pleading for his release. Free Worl’Boss and Shawn Storm is the general message from other people in the video. You can almost forget the heinous crime the pair were incarcerated for and have currently served seven years, of their 30+ year sentences.
Interestingly, the video has 8 year old looking kids who make up the numbers in pleading for the release of Vybz. However, do they really know the guy? Let’s not run away from the fact that the two guys in question are gangsters. Who grew up doing gangster things. And got caught up in their ways. With their court appeal that has been pending for more than a year now, their plight almost feels desperate now. But if there was a case for devil’s advocate I do feel for Vybz and Shawn if they really are innocent. And I wish them all the best.

Sikka[/embed] Rymes has gone from strength to strength in the past couple of months and has really stood out in the dancehall community having released tracks like ‘We Run This’ and ‘Type‘. He may have the mantle to continue flying the Gazanation flag from outside the “concrete jungleâ€.
Incarceration or not, fortunately for his fans, Vybz continues to make chart topping music. Baddest gangster or not, we can still get to enjoy his music for the foreseeable future. The dancehall fraternity can continue to debate who is the heir. Sikka Rymes is putting his hand up here and the world should wait and see what else is in store.
