With all the reggae/dancehall albums that have come out this year with artists like Buju, Taurus, Vybz and Popcaan all strutting their stuff, the list would not be complete without a certain Miguel Collins. Popularly known as Sizzla Kalonji, the dancehall icon dropped his most recent album Million Times on the 2nd of October 2020. Inspired by the ladies and love, Million Times follows after Victory released in 2019 and is Sizzla’s 56th studio album.
The album debuted at number 14 on the Reggae Charts and will probably make its way up the chart in the coming weeks.
Speaking about the album Sizzla gave insight on his inspiration making mention that it was all about the ladies.
“It was all about love and the ladies. Those two were the inspirations for making this album.”
“This project is different from my previous albums in the sense that it’s a more crossover, hip hop with a little bit of an acoustic flavour. Real soothing and lovely to the extent you don’t wanna play anything else,†he continued.
Whether the album is a contender for a Grammy is another conversation but as long as you’re a reggae fan this one is worth your time.
