Shenseea and The Chainsmokers Deliver My Bad

Shenseea And The Chainsmokers Deliver My Bad

Shenseea and The Chainsmokers dropped their collaboration EDM track My Bad accompanied by an official video. Delving into the pop genre we can all agree that Mandeville-born Chinsea Linda Lee is now a pop star. The change to pop is reminiscent of when Rihanna made the transition from her songs like If Its Loving and Pon De Replay to pop songs with the likes of Calvin Harris and Justin Timberlake.

My[/embed] Bad ticks all the boxes of your typical commercial pop song and it’s a matter of time before it blows up. You have to hand it to the label that opens all the doors in enabling Shenseea to collaborate with a host of A-list artists. Shenseea did speak out on Hot 97 Radio saying despite having access to people she was very deliberate in choosing artists to work with.

“We got the links, we got all of that to be like, ‘yo, come on let’s do a track,’ but I’m not that type of person. I’m not the type of person to be like OK, let me just feature on this track. No, I wanna make sure it’s the right track for the future. That’s how I am.”

On working with the EDM duo Shenseea spoke highly of the duo waxing lyrical on the pairs’ professionalism.

“It was legendary, and they were very easy to work with, too. The weirdest thing, I will never forget because I cut the record but they wanted to make some changes and both times were like 2 a.m. in the morning and the other time we wanted to fix it with them, so, I hopped off the plane like 1 a.m. and I went straight in the studio and we finished like 4.” She recalled.

Have a listen to My Bad and witness the versatility of Jamaica’s very own pop star.
