Popcaan Teams Up With Ovo Sound Duo Dvsn

Popcaan continues to add diverse songs to his discography with his latest collaboration with DVSN. The OVO artists teamed up for So What, which is an RnB jam released from the Canadians new album. Their highly anticipated album, A Muse In Her Feelings, was released on the 17th of April 2020. It features another dancehall artist Buju Banton on Dangerous City. So What has massed just 18k views on Youtube’s streaming platform and time will tell how big the track will be.

The slow jam has that unique DVSN sound filled with melodious falsettos. Popcaan plays his part sticking to the track’s theme of trying to soft a babe with a deft touch. It’s another side to the Gaza native and it adds another dimension to his versatility.

Dancehall artists have evolved over the years and Popcaan is leading the frontier on the international frontier. From humble beginnings as Vybz Kartel’s producer in Clarkes, Popcaan has grown into a formidable recording artist. Moreover, his relevance is not limited to dancehall but music in general. Poppy has worked with top Afro-Beats artists like Davido and Wizkid and touched base in the UK with Kano and Giggs. He has amassed a huge following in the United States working with artists with clout like Drake and Gorillaz.

Canada is currently his favoured country now with this new collaboration with the ever-growing Canadian duo DVSN. Much should be accredited to being part of Drakes OVO Sound record label. It has probably opened up many opportunities for Popcaan and helped him diversify his music. Good management goes a long way and unfortunately, many dancehall artists have not reached their full potential due to a lack of it. Look out for his upcoming track with OVO owner Drake coming out soon.

For now, take some time to hear The Unruly Boss with DVSN on this chilled RnB track.
