Vybz Kartel Appeals To Supreme Court On Solitary Confinement

Objectively speaking, could there be an underlying conspiracy against self-proclaimed WorlBoss, Vybz Kartel? Currently serving a life term for murder. Adidja Palmer, popularly known as Vybz Kartel is currently in solitary confinement after breaching prison rules. It is alleged that a cell phone was found on the inmate’s cell block and was duly remanded to 23 hours in the hole. And the artist has been doing that for the past two weeks. Whether Kartel is guilty of that is another question however, given his track record it is not far-fetched.

It has also come to light that the artist has been suffering from Graves disease and two other autoimmune ailments. Compounding his dire situation, the artist’s medical condition has become worse and his attorney has spoken up saying if Mr Palmer does not receive medical attention his condition could be fatal.

Mr. Palmer’s attorney Isat Buchanan has filed an application to the Supreme Court in Kingston and sought several orders from the court, including that his client’s (Vybz) constitutional rights have been breached. The application looks to challenge the Department of Correctional Services’ inhumane treatment of Vybz.

Trouble seems to follow Vybz Kartel wherever he goes and you wonder if it’s a case of the government looking to make an example of the glorified gangster. His support from fellow artists and fans remains strong as Shawn Storm has an upcoming track titled My Brother (Best of Health). Produced by Kwashawna Records the track is a tribute to his friend wishing him the best of health.

We all appreciate justice, however, what happens if the artist passes on due to the current situation? Making him a martyr is the last thing the government needs granted the influence he has on the Jamaican youth.

All the best Worl’Boss as we all hope for a speedy resolution to this quagmire.
