Whatever happened to Serani? He doesn’t make the one hit wonder category as he had a few more hits over the years and production credits. He hasn’t had the success that he would have hoped singing wise but he has remained in the game with notable work on Sean Paul’s album ‘The Trinity’ and also getting production credits for artists like Mavado, Busy Signal, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel and Tony Matteron.
The ‘No Games’ artist of 2008 has stayed in the game and features on ‘African Giant’, Burna Boy’s latest album.
Serani[/embed] has managed to stay relevant in the industry and we await more hits like ‘No Games’. But to be fair he has probably excelled more on the co-producing tip. He formed a record label with his best mates at the very beginning and were more on the production tip. His 2 other mates David Harrisingh and Craig Harrisingh have worked in producing noteworthy cuts like, ‘We Be Burning’ and ‘Ever Blazin’ on Sean Paul’s ‘The Trinity’ album. Anger Management Riddim was another production of theirs which basically put the Gully Ghad, Mavado on the map with ‘Real Mccoy’ way back in 2004.
The dancehall industry owes a lot to Mr Marsh and you have to respect the artist for his creativity and work. We look forward to more work from you. Another album wouldn’t be so bad.
