Dancehall superstar Sean Paul and reggae legend Beres Hammond dropped the visuals for their collaboration titled Rebel Time. The audio track was released on 5 May 2023 and is now backed up by an official music video. Released from Dutty Rock Productions the track rolls back the hands of time and brings that old familiar Lovers Rock sound back.
Billboard producer Kirk “Koolface” Ford said the song was coming at an opportune time, noting that “the culture needed this badly”, while Charly Black echoed Beres’ sentiments, noting that it was a “big, big chune”.

Speaking[/embed] recently to Revolt Sean Paul was asked who he would like to collaborate with who he hadn’t worked with yet. Sean Paul went on to reply by saying;
“Last year, I released an album called Life We Living [Live N Livin], where I collaborated with nineteen different dancehall and reggae artists from the old school and new school – it was a wishlist I had. Me and Gyptian have always talked about doing a song and we’ve done demos together, so that’s one I’ll lean to say I would love to collaborate with. Also, I would say Stalk Ashley as well.”
So there you have it. Look out for Stalk Ashley and Gyptian collaborations. Meanwhile, get your groove on with Rebel Time and enjoy that old-school dancehall sound.
