Rema Blows His Top in Atlanta

Rema Blows His Top In Atlanta

Funny how a little bit of fame and money can give you confidence in standing up for what is right. Afrobeats star Rema refused to perform in Atlanta, describing the performing conditions as terrible and walking off the stage.

Rema who is currently on his ‘Raves and Roses’ North American Tour II, was meant to entertain music lovers at the Tabernacle hotspot in Atlanta. However, due to poor organization, the stage and venue had not been adequately prepared for the artist to perform. This did not go down well with the Calm Down artist and he let everyone know what he thought about it.

“You guys paid your hard-earned money to do this sh** and I can not get disrespected by this sound. This is rubbish. We do not move like this. Afrobeats is way too big to move like this. I do not take no rubbish,” he said.

“I respect my fans. I do not wanna move like this. I am going to reschedule this show. They have disrespected me and disrespected Afrobeats by treating you guys like this. I am out. I love you,” He added.

Rema whose real name is Divine Ikubor is an established Afrobeats star who has been in the industry since 2019 with his first hit single Dumebi. He had success after that with tracks like Bad Commando, and Iron Man but hit the big time with Calm Down in 2022. Calm Down topped the charts all over the world and Rema went a step further in making a remix with American songstress Selena Gomez who made the song more successful.
