Reggae Sumfest ticket sales have escalated drastically according to an interview with Joe Bogdanovich. The eagerly anticipated show draws closer and organizer and Chief Executive Officer of Downsound Records is excited to break out new talent in the same manner as last year, with stand out Rygin King being the major success story.
The show will have Platinum, Gold Lux, VIP and other sections with varied distances to the stage where guests will be entertained with added perks. The majority of these tickets have already been sold-out.
Bogdanovich is intent on matching international standards by having punctual starting times and having sufficient security. The Montego Bay Mayor along with security teams will be on board to offer professional service to ensure peoples’ safety.
In the spirit of breaking out new talent a host of the usual suspects will not feature at the show including Alkaline, Shenseea, Aidonia, and Tommy Lee. This should not take anything away from the show as there are numerous other big names who are set to perform.
Bogdanovich also mentioned that videos of the show have received over a billion views since he took over operations of the festival and intends on breeding a culture of continuous improvement with each festival.
Beres Hammond, Buju and Chronix will be getting preferential treatment according to Bogdanovich as they have showed significant signs of working hard to improve their brands. Beenie Man and Bounty Killa will also be doing their thing in a special slot as the organizers want the young artists to learn about what it takes to have long extended careers in the music business.
The fact that the “Six†will be closing the show has raised eyebrows if that is a good idea, but Bogdanovich stands by the decision emphasizing how hot they are, and that their young fan base would work in their favor and that people will love it.
The Pre-parties is a new feature this year and Island Stream will be there at their booth showing what they do with Marijuana.
He also encouraged everyone to be early so they won’t miss any of the festivals as living up to the international standards is very important for him.
