Soca fans will be pleased to know that the Blackman legacy of making music continues as auntie and niece continue making music. Endless Vibration is a collaboration between Marge and Nailah Blackman. Nailah Blackman is the granddaughter of Garfield Blackman, also known as Lord Shorty or Ras Shorty I. Garfield Blackman is known for inventing the music genre known as ‘jamoo’ and is also credited with inventing soca as a means of reinvigorating calypso music.
In Blackman fashion, Nailah teamed up with her aunt Marge delivering a party anthem to boot, and will probably be leading the Christmas party playlists. Produced by Jamoo13thsound, Endless Vibration is filled with enough energy to spark up a carnival and I am sure will be used for such in the future. The Blackman legacy in soca/jamoo/calypso lives through the duo and we only hope for future collaborations.
