My favorite Bermudian is at it again with another fire message we all need to hear now and then. We may not like to hear it, especially when dropped in the middle of a dispute, however, Collie Buddz is just speaking on a self-care tip and saying Take It Easy. The track was co-produced by Jason ‘J-Vibe’ Farmer, Shawn Mitchell, Noah Cronin, and Ronny Gutierrez and was released by Harper Digital.
“Our daily life is so hectic that if we do not take a step back from time, we risk missing the most important moments.” Explained Collie Buddz.
We all are out here trying to figure out this thing called life and it is so easy to get carried away in our set ways. The pandemic is behind most of us and it’s now just about regrouping and attaining daily and life goals. In this pursuit, it is easy to lose track of the important things in life and Collie Buddz is throwing us a refresher card and saying just take it easy, relax, and live in the moment. Mental health is a recurring issue and this track puts certain things into perspective. Not necessarily encouraging everyone to get on the sticky eeky (which is not a bad idea) but self-care is important. Collie delivers another classic from his label with his signature sound for Sunday chilling vibes.
“Its alright if you wanna chill out, take it easy, hmmmm take it easy.
Yeah cause in this life… We all fi move forward.
Don’t bring bring no fuckery around me no drama.
Mi done with the bag a of shit talker like ya no know.
You plant one bad seed it ago grow.
50 million bad seed you know said dam a troll, ay
God help them cause them never know.
Make the goodness inna yuh heart take control, because you don’t have to worry,
feels like you’re going nowhere in a hurry.”
There is talk of an upcoming album and all I can say is it’s long overdue. Yes, it’s only been 3 years since Hybrid in 2019, however, that goes to show how good Collie Buddz is. Always staying away from unnecessary drama, Collie is a model reggae artist who deserves more recognition for his contribution to the genre through both songwriting and production. Just to jog your memory just listen to Cali Roots Riddim and get lost in the California meets Kingston vibes with various artists like Jesse Royal, Gentleman, Anthony B, and Etana.
With[/embed] a crazy work schedule, the Bermudian artist is set to tour the United States from the 17th of February with The Elovators and Arise Roots. We look forward to the upcoming album and I will be sure to take it easy and not fret too much about things I do not have control over.
