Jahmiel Turns Lights Off In New Love Song

jahmiel turns lights off in new love song

It’s fascinating how different people deal with conflicts and media attention and release a song to deflect or capitalize on the attention. I recently spoke about the Mavado and Vybz Kartel beef and how Mavado blocked all the negative energy and delivered an erotic track for the ladies. In a similar fashion, Jahmiel has taken a step back from the beef with the 6IX camp and delivered a heart-felt jam for his female fans.

Compared to Mavado’s On My Mind, Lights Off is far from explicit and has Jahmiel delivering a passionate message with subtle sexual innuendoes. The love song showcases Jahmiel’s smooth vocals and lets us know why he is a fan favourite for the ladies.

The Patriotz Muzik / Quantanium Records production will feature on Jahmiel’s upcoming EP titled Revamp. In addition, it is set to be the leading jam on the album. Inspired by the COVID-19 lockdown. The album was made to get people to reflect during the lockdown and come out of it a better person. Set for May 29 release the EP will feature 4 other tracks and will be Jahmiel’s second studio album. It will follow last years successful maiden project, Great Men.

Jahmiel continues to play his part in the dancehall space capitalising on his niche market. He definitely has staying power and I’m sure all look forward to more of his music. The extra media attention is more than welcome in light of the documented feud with the 6IX. And I’m sure a lot more people are talking about him now. He has had a fairly productive 2020 with a couple of hits including Success Story and The World on World Rocking Riddim.

Look out for Lights Off and be sure to pencil in May 29 on your calendar for his album’s release. It may be the extra motivation you need to set goals and strategies for life post lockdown.
