Unlike last week, this week does not have as many memorable tracks to write home about. However, in true dancehall fashion, songs will continue to be churned out. This week’s highlights include Buju Banton and Snoop Dogg. Alkaline resurfaced with Motivation, Mykal Rose paid homage to marijuana and Chronic Law dropped a heartfelt God On Time. And last but not least, there is something from Vybz Kartel.
As mentioned in my last article Buju Banton and Snoop Dogg collaborated once again in High Life. We all knew what to expect from Buju, but, you have to hand it to Snoop Dogg. His flow was unlike his usual self. The American rapper was able to mesh his flow with the reggae beat and totally pulled it off. Kudos to Snoop Dogg as he proved his versatility once more by making another top-notch collaboration.
