Today’s find of the week is a reggae collaboration between a Philippines/Hawaiian and Bermudan artist. You may have guessed the Bermudan in the household name Collie Buddz. The other artist is Eli Mac who is based in Hawaii and was born in the Philippines. The pair collaborate on Resume, which was released by Island Empire/Mensch House Records.
Recorded at Sea Major Seven in Hawaii. The track was inspired by a true love story between Eli Mac’s close friends, Marybeth and Kanoa. With a touching back-story depicted in the video, the track is about a matchmaking story gone right depicted in a lighthearted manner in the video. Eli Mac and Collie Buddz do justice to the story and relate what is a beautiful song about what true love is really about.
