Dancehall artist MonCherie has been missing for a week. Based in Alaska, USA, the female artist has been reported missing by Alaskan police. They published a bulletin last week Tuesday telling the public to look out for a black 29 year old female. MonCherie’s real name is Cherie Stoute and she weighs 120 lbs, is 5’1″ tall with brown eyes and black hair.

“Efforts to locate her have been unsuccessful. There is concern for her well-being due to mental health issues and unfamiliarity with the Anchorage area. Stoute was last seen Sunday 11/17/19 at around 6pm in the downtown area,” the police reported.

Born in St Lucia Jamaica, MonCherie is well known for ‘Bay Bay’ and ‘Gates of Heaven’ collaborations with Vybz Kartel in 2015 and 2012 respectively.

The[/embed] dancehall artist has resided in Alaska for the past 9 months according to one of her friends. Prior to her disappearance the artist had an altercation with a family member where she destroyed a phone. Following this incident she was detained by the police who eventually dropped the charges after finding out the exact details of the situation. Her boyfriend of two weeks is working closely with the authorities and explained about her mental state saying she had suffered an anxiety attack following the tiff with her family member.

When Cherie’s mom and boyfriend arrived at the police station the following morning after the incident they were told that she had been released the previous evening. Since her release her whereabouts are unknown.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to friends and family of Miss Stoute. This is very depressing as the unknown could spell out a very disheartening scenario. It is also saddening that the area where the police station is known to be very unsavoury. We look forward to her being found and hope she is ok.
