Chronixx Drops Cool As The Breeze/friday For His Kingston Kin

chronixx drops cool as the breeze/friday for his kingston kin

For the past week, all the talk in Jamaica and in reggae has been about Koffee’s summer jam Lockdown. Following the success of that song, (not like it’s a competition).  Chronixx released the latest single from his upcoming album Dela Splash which seems to be on the same trajectory. COOL AS THE BREEZE/FRIDAY, which follows Same Prayer and Dela Move is an uplifting song with a fitting title for your Friday shenanigans.

The Meji Alabi directed video has a cool vibe to it. It showcases normal life in Kingston without the eccentricities of violence and half-naked women. Chronixx dedicated the track to Kingston saying,

“This tune is about everyday people of the world, but really a song about us in a Jamaican life that we live.” Chronixx then added,

“Making sure we have the right music, culture, and energy to keep our mind uplifted throughout the struggle and building a better life for ourselves. No matter the intensity of the heat, and no matter how hot the reality get, we still haffi remain cool as the breeze you now. It’s the balance of being able to go through all the different forces of life you know and stay up. It’s an upliftment song.”

Reggae fans eagerly wait for the release of his second album Dela Splash which follows the Grammy-nominated Chronology from 2017. The release date has not been announced yet. However, as long as the singles keep coming fans are not too bothered. So far the album has a mix of different tracks which possess that unique Chronnix signature.

Chronixx who was born Jamar Rolando McNaughton is a well-respected reggae artist who has proven himself beyond a reasonable doubt. He sets the tone for his contemporaries in most of his endeavours and COOL AS THE BREEZE/FRIDAY is testament to that.
