Cleopatra Bernard, the mother of XXXTentacion has announced there was a collaboration with Vybz Kartel.
Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy known in the music industry as XXXTentacion was an American rapper, singer and songwriter. A real controversial artist within the hip hop industry, Onfroy has been regarded to have left behind a huge musical footprint due to his impact on his young fan base and his popularity during his short career.
On June 18, 2018, Onfroy was fatally shot at the age of 20, in a robbery at a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The attackers fled the scene in an SUV after stealing a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 from Onfroy.
Almost a year after his passing, his mother is keeping his legacy alive. In January 2018 ‘XXX’ told his fans that there was some music in the pipeline with incarcerated Worl’Boss Vybz Kartel. Following that a snippet on the collaboration surfaced online. Sources then crushed the rumour saying that the song wasn’t real.
It has now been reported that the rapper’s mother posted a snippet of a new song with Vybz Kartel, Stefflon Don, and Ky-Mani Marley.
“His Majesty Haile Selassie so we royal / Triple Xcuse so we loyal / Big batty fat pu**y broad gal / Come yah back it up gal buss a whine,†Kartel spits in the short clip. You don’t get to hear verses from all the other three artists on the song, but it’s very clear that the dance-hall deejay was in his element spitting lyrics over a club beat.
Since his untimely death XXXTentacion‘s mother has released a handful of posthumous music including a track that appeared on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack called “Scared of the Dark.†Lil Wayne also released a surprising collaboration with XXXTentacion on his new album Tha Carter V called “Don’t Cry.†There is also a rumor of an album in the works, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
We just await with crossed fingers for this new song with Vybz Kartel, Stefflon Don, and Ky-Mani Marley.
