Buju Banton’s 4th studio album Til Shiloh has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of over 500,000 copies in the United States.

After his release from prison on 7 December 2018, Buju has slowly but surely got back on his feet. He has gained relevance in the music industry once again and has continued to make quality music. With his Long Walk to Freedom Tour coming to an end, Buju has accomplished a significant amount this year. All the while staying out of trouble.
His first performance on the tour drew dancehall and reggae fans from all over the globe. To date, it has been dubbed the biggest concert in the Windies since Bob Marley’s ‘Smile Jamaica Show’ in 1976. He also featured on DJ Khaled’s project ‘Father of Asahd’ featuring on 3 of his tracks. This boosted his popularity overseas as the younger generation was acquainted with the dancehall legend.
You can’t help but think his new found relevance after 9 years in prison played a huge role in accelerating sales of Til Shiloh. Thus attaining the significant feat 24 years on. Til Shiloh features hit songs such as Champion, Til I’m Laid to Rest, and Untold Stories. The album showcased Banton’s newfound faith in the Rastafari movement as many of the tracks were inspired by his faith.
