Spice’s relevance in the music industry is clearly waning as she has resorted to childish antics to keep herself on people’s minds. The 40-year-old has been caught out on a lie which she is now apologizing for, giving an explanation that doesn’t really make much sense but indicates an outcry for attention. Last week the “Queen” of Dancehall posted a picture of herself on her social media clearly showing a baby bump (bigger than Rihanna’s) captioning it by saying, ‘God has been good to me‘. She would later on retract and say I never said I was pregnant, but really Spice? What did you want people to think?
Subsequently, Spice issued an apology for her PR stunt as many people found it offensive.
“It was never intentionally done for the picture to offend anyone. So if it did offend anyone I apologize and am sorry if it offended you, but it was never about anything or anyone, any woman that can’t get pregnant I sympathize. I have friends and family that went through different things, miscarriages.”
Her stunt went as far as having other artists congratulating her for her bump only for them to realize it was just a stunt. An April Fools joke would have made sense but Spice went on to explain saying it was all about re-birth and how she is living her second after dying and coming back to life on the operating table in a cosmetic surgery gone wrong in the Dominican Republic in October 2022.
“I never said I was pregnant, I said God has been good to me,” pronounced Spice on her Instagram video. “That picture is just for me celebrating my new life. It’s me celebrating my journey my walk. It’s me wanting that picture to blow up and put in my house to remember that there is a God. To remember that I got a second chance at life. To remember that I have a new life.”

Spice[/embed] is touring again and will be performing in the United States as well as Jamaica. It would be best to stick to the music which worked so well for the once-dominant dancehall Queen. Out with her first single of 2023 titled God A Bless Me, Spice is fighting to stay relevant in the game. I presume the stunt has had its effect on some, but I am sure it’s gone over the head of realists. We are all glad she is over her surgery ordeal and we hope for more music and fewer stunts henceforth.
To be fair God A Bless Me is a fire cut that deserves your time. Keep at it miss you still got it.
