Queen of Dancehall, Spice, is having another crack at producing another all-female riddim. Not to say there are no riddims with an all-female cast but this is Spice’s second crack at creating an impact with it.
Spice extended an open invitation via social media to all females interested in participating in the riddim. The Instagram post included a flier with a caption reading;
“I’m producing a all female riddim, Any Female Artist who wants to be part of this can email spiceofficialqueenofdancehall@gmail.com……..Tag who you want to be part of this to make sure they see it, lets gooooooooo
What Spice means by a female is what we all used to think was a female at least 20 years ago. I assume. With all the controversies of gender that we have nowadays, maybe Spice should have been more specific. Imagine a burly Chronic Law-esque person responding and saying he identified as a woman and deserved a chance to feature.
10[/embed] years ago, Spice produced Gal Click Riddim which featured Macka Diamond, Pamputtae, Stacious, Katrina, Stylish, Tiana, Face, and herself. Some of these women will probably feature but if I put suggestions I would include Shenseea, Stalk Ashley, Jada Kingdom, Koffee, and Steflon Don. Fans have been weighing in on the post suggesting other artists like Tanya Stephens, Moyann, Shaneil Muir, Sasique, and Marcy Chin.
Spice’s resurgence continues in the right vein as she was bestowed with “The Key To The Region” of Florida during a ceremony at the Fort Lauderdale Marriot North last Friday 5 May 2023.
“Besties we did it again 🌎 drop some keys 🔑🔑🔑🔑 below and Let it be known that on the 5th of May 2023, a little poor girl from Old Braeton Portmore Jamaica 🇯🇲 created history by getting honored with the keys 🔑 to the region signed off by 16 different Commissioners, Mayors and Vice Mayor,” wrote Spice in a lengthy caption on Instagram.
We at riddimsworld look forward to Spice’s production and more music from the Queen of Dancehall.
