The world has been rocked by the sad news of the passing of basketball legend Kobe Bryant. The retired 41-year-old superstar died in a helicopter crash in the Los Angeles County suburb of Calabasas. Details of the cause of the crash are yet to be revealed.

Kobe passed on along with his 13-year-old daughter Giana and 3 other people on his personal helicopter.

After a 20 year NBA career at the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant will probably be an inductee in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame later this year.

“He was a fierce competitor, one of the greats of the game and a creative force,” said fellow NBA icon Michael Jordan.

Kobe will forever be missed by basketball fans and sports fans from everywhere. Dancehall icons have come out on social media expressing their sadness over Bryant’s death and passed on their condolences to his family.

Mavado posted a photo of the NBA legend and his 13 year old daughter, saying, “Sad as f-ck RIP legend”.

Several other artists have come out expressing themselves including Jodi Couture, Jahmiel, Spragga Benz, Agent Sasco, Mr Vegas and a host of others.

Morgan Heritage expressed their sadness and posted: “Our hearts are broken as a family to see this man pass away. He was a true champion, fighter, father and husband. This one is a SHOCKER please love your families and spend as much time as possible. Life is way to short! #kobe #kobebryant #ripkobe” and in another post said: “MY GOD!!! We feel for his wife!!!! PRAYERS TO @kobebryant ENTIRE FAMILY! THIS WAAAAAY TO MUCH!!! #ripgiannabryant #ripkobe #family #lifetooshort.”
