Dancehall Gears Up For Shenseeas Latest Album

dancehall gears up for shenseeas latest album

Dancehall albums keep dropping for the dancehall/reggae faithful and Shenseea fans will have something to cheer about in the foreseeable future. According to the Kingston bombshell, she will be dropping her album soon, and that is the reason she has been in the United States putting in the necessary work.

“It’s just a mix of Shenseea and what I have to offer,” revealed the Blessed artist, (mind the pun) adding on that it will contain a lot of features.

If you read between the lines there may even be a collaboration with Bajan popstar Rihanna as Shenseea went on lavish praise on her temporary.

“Ever since she came on the scene, I’ve been watching her from the very first single, you get me. Watching her on BET, MTV straight up to where she is right now. So definitely Rihanna is one of my biggest inspirations where music is concerned. I absolutely just love her.”

That said, who knows, there may be something in the pipeline along with other top deejays. Presently, Shenseea previewed her new video with reggae’s superstar Tarrus Riley for their single Lighter. The track has their distinctive voices gelling well with a colourful background setting.

Shenseea has become a permanent fixture in the genre and could topple Spice as the Queen of Dancehall in the near future. She seems keen to emulate her inspiration Rihanna and will probably roll out her own new label for clothing and footwear. She also pointed out how rough the industry was and emphasised the sacrifices she had to make to market. Privacy being the main one. It’s a cruel industry that does eventually pay off if everything lines up.

Be sure to look out for her new singles which will have a bit of everything from reggae to rap and obviously dancehall.
