Chronixx Links Up With Third World

chronixx links up with third world

You have to hand it to Chronixx as he seems to be making all the right moves in his development as a reggae artist. The reggae talent from Spanish town has made notable collaborations in his rise to fame and you have to believe he is still learning and developing. So far he has worked with Albrosie, Shaggy, Koffee, Protogé, Kabaka Pyramid, Mr Eazi and Sizzla, just to name a few.

His latest collaboration which he should take a lot away with is with old school reggae band ‘Third World’ who should add another dimension in his development.

Third World is a reggae band formed in 1973 which had successes over the years with their reggae fusion sound. The band’s sound is heavily influenced by soul, funk and disco and had the hit song ‘Now that we Found Love’ in 1978. Reggae purists will question their reggae credentials as they were part of the first wave of artists mixing their reggae up with different sounds. After successes in the late 1970s the band toured Europe with The Wailers, going into the 1980s and even opened a concert for The Jackson 5 in their prime.

The band comprises of Stephen “Cat” Coore on the guitar, Richard Daley on bass, Tony “Ruption” Williams on the drums and both Maurice Gregory and Norris “Noriega” Webb on keyboards. AJ Brown is the last player and he provides the vocals. The band has evolved over the years with Stephen and Richard being the original members.

With this wealth of experience and their unique roots reggae sound you can’t help but think about the impact it will have on the evolution of Chronnixx. He can comfortably brag about his credentials presently in the reggae fraternity and his infectious sound continues to grow. The ‘Skankin Sweet’ artist continues to make quality music and ‘Na Na Na’ with Third World is testament of that.

Look[/embed] out for this tune as the band rolls back the years with probably one of the brightest stars in the game currently.
