Matisyahu and Tribal Seeds will jam at an outdoor show at Fargo Brewing Company on July 17th. Tickets for the show are $39.50 in advance and will go on sale on Wednesday, April 17, at 12 p.m.
Tribal Seeds are a rock and reggae band from San Diego. Comprising of Victor Navarro -bass, Ryan Gonzo- guitar, Luis Castillo keyboard, Jamey “Zeb” Dekofsky on drums, and last but not least singer Steven Rene Jacobo and producer Tony Ray Jacobo. The Jacobo brothers formed the band in 2005, releasing their debut album Youth Rebellion in the same year. The following albums were, Tribal Seeds in 2008 and The Harvest in 2009. The Soundwaves EP came out in 2011, and in 2014 Representing broke into the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Tribal Seeds went on to win the San Diego Music Award for Artist of The Year in March 2017. The single ‘Rude Girl’ followed which debuted among the iTunes Hot Singles for Reggae. The group is currently working on their fifth full length album which should be released some time in 2019.
Tribal Seeds have toured the United States, also performing in Mexico, Aruba, Tahiti & Peru. They have shared the stage with artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction, Skrillex, MGMT, Cee Lo Green, Jason Mraz, Matisyahu, Sublime with Rome, Taking Back Sunday, O.A.R., Pretty Lights, Steel Pulse, The Wailers, Julian Marley, Stephen Marley, Gregory Isaacs, SOJA, Rebelution, Pepper, and many more.
They certainly know what they are all about and where they fit in, in the whole grand scheme of things and working with Matisyahu should be a spectacle for lovers of rock and reggae.
Matisyahu, Mathew Paul Miller is an American Jewish reggae singer, rapper, beatboxer and alternative rock musician. Known for blending Orthodox Jewish themes with reggae, rock and hip hop beat-boxing. Matisyahu released ‘King Without a Crown’ in 2005 and it was a Top 40 hit in the United States. Since 2004 when he started releasing albums he has released 5 of them , also releasing two live albums, two remix, CDs and two DVDs featuring live concerts.
Matisyahu has also worked with Bill Laswell, reggae producers Sly & Robbie, and Kool Kojak
The Fargo Brewing Company is set to be set alive by the both Tribal Seeds and Matisyahu, with a mix of different cultures and themes in whats sure to be a good blend of music.
