Sikka Rymes
Javian Chambers, born 29 July 1992 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a dancehall and reggae recording artist. He grew up with his parents in Portmore, St Catherine in Waterford also known as Gaza. Sikka has 3 other siblings. This a place well-known because of the legendary Vybz Kartel who also has roots there. From a very tender age, Sikka dreamt of being a dancehall artist and it comes as no surprise that his influence came from the very controversial Vybz Kartel. As he grew up, he would normally listen to other dancehall stars like Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Sanchez, and Mega Banton, though his major stronghold was Kartel. Sikka has a cousin, Shawn Storm, who also began music as a career and that added the pressure for him to walk on the same path. Sikka’s musical talent has been seen incorporated in many riddims such as the Kuminar Riddim album in 2015 which featured other artists like Konshens, Masicka, and Shawn Storm. This was followed by the Big Money riddim album in 2017 and in 2018 was the Vybz Principal riddim and Fire Pin riddim albums. More riddims came after in 2019 with popular songs like ‘Gaza To Mi Bone,’ ‘Like I’m Superman,’ and ‘We Run This.’ Sikka made some good music videos on YouTube namely ‘Sucess’ in 2018, ‘Type,’ in 2019 and 2020 saw ‘What If’ and ‘1 day.’ The young superstar is surely moving in leaps and bounds in the dancehall space.
