Collin Demar Edwards, born on 28 September 1982 in Portmore, Jamaica, is a dancehall and reggae recording artist who at the age of 15, played at the Cactus nightclub and gained his experience at a very young age. He also became a selector for the Future Disco sound system and thereafter relocated to the US At the age of 16 where he worked hard to sponsor his passion for music production. Demarco created dancehall and hip hop tracks for numerous artists. Singles like “Duppy Know Ah Who Fi Frighten” and “Fallen Soldiers”, amongst many others placed him in the limelight. Top seed riddim was produced by him and he made a hit with Bounty Killer “Gal Dem Want.” He also produced the Big League Riddim in 2008 and the hit single “Broomie” with a well-known Elephant Man. In 2009, he produced a hit riddim “Stress-free” which saw the birth of famous singles like “Jump and Wine” by Tony Matterhorn and “Work Mi Ah Work” by Mister G, “Hammering” by Singing Craig. He went on and made a remix for “Rude Boy” by Rihanna which was number 1 on the Billboard. In the UK, Demarco was nominated DJ of the year on his hit single “Good Book” in October 2014. He has toured many countries all over the globe. In both 2013 and 2014 he was nominated for Best Reggae Act for Urban Music Award. True Gift Entertainment is the name of his very own label that produces music and reality TV series. He signed up with Akon’s label EnTreeg Records/Konlive Record label in May 2017. He has since been working with the superstar on many projects that continue showcasing his musical talent.
