Wake The Town Overview
The Wake The Town Riddim arrived in 2025, bringing a fresh roots reggae sound from Jamaica. This project stands out for its strong foundation rhythm, giving singers and deejays a classic base to build on. The riddim is arranged and produced by MV Music, a label known for its consistent focus on authentic reggae sounds. MV Music has previously worked on projects that highlight both new and established talent, and their productions have gained millions of streams online. Christopher Martin leads with “No Where To Run,” using his smooth voice to deliver a heartfelt performance. Martin is well known for his hit single “Cheaters Prayer,” which topped reggae charts and helped him earn international recognition. Etana brings her powerful vocals to “Water Mi Roses.” She is a Grammy-nominated artist, celebrated for her album “Reggae Forever,” which made history as the first reggae album by a female artist to reach number one on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart in over two decades. Mr. Vegas appears twice on the riddim, first with “Call Tyrone” and again with “Dubplate Chop.” Vegas is a dancehall veteran, famous for songs like “Heads High,” and has received multiple international awards. Cecile adds her unique flavor with “Call Me,” while the duo G Cole x Fiona team up for “Feel The Same Way,” bringing a sweet lovers rock vibe. The Wake The Town Riddim proves that roots reggae is alive and well in 2025. With a strong lineup of artists and the steady hand of MV Music, this project highlights reggae’s lasting power and its ability to connect with listeners across generations.
