The Vybz Kartel and Sikka Rymes combination struck gold once more in their latest track ‘Like a Superman‘. The track was produced by Redboom – Frenz For Real.
The music video which features cousin Sikka was directed by Dameon Gayle (Warriors Films Ja).
The track comes with 90s RnB nostalgia, and I am yet to figure out which exact track it reminds me of. The smooth track has both artists flow over the cool beat in what is a pretty good cut. Sikka continues to play the Vybz role in his music videos, and he does it with much aplomb.
Another year is almost done and the world is still in the dark as to Vybz Kartel’s appeal verdict. The Worl’Boss continues on his hot streak having recently released ‘Then You and Me‘ and ‘Long Live Jamaica’. Added to this Gazanation is being primed for the future with Kartel’s sons Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi.
The Gaza crew previewed a new collaboration with Vybz and his sons. The track is titled ‘Magneato’ and is set to be released on November 8 2019. The wait is not long and time will tell on the success of it. However, based on history and the meagre fact that this is straight out of the Palmer household it is sure to be a banger. The youngins have enjoyed recent success from their tracks ‘Dollar Sign‘ and ‘Skinny Jeans’. With age on their side they have a long way to go if they will ever be compared to their father.
With the success Vybz has had this year, an album release is the next thing his fans yearn for. There have been rumours of an album set for early 2020. Unfortunately, that is still in the talking phase and nothing is confirmed. 2020 could be the year of his salvation in terms of the court verdict but who really knows what is going to happen?
