So-Sikk is at it again. The Jamaican Dancehall entertainer has put his pen to paper and crafted a great track for the summer. So-Sikk and the Rafaa Records camp has gone in the direction of paying respect to a brand and a company that brings a joy to black people and especially our culture. The track is titled “Jordan 1”.
One of the most iconic trends in sports, fashion and pop culture is “Jordan” sneakers and everything that comes with the Jordan brand. The shoes have become an iconic piece of art that after 20 odd years the sneaker is still the number one selling shoes on the market.
The instrumental is melodic and So-Sik uses his punch phrases to add a bit of humour and entertainment to the track. It speaks of the different colours, styles and looks that the trainers has to offer. He taps into how we in Reggae and Dancehall see the brand the shoes and the effect it has on our people.
So-Sikk is not just an artist. He is a producer and a Disc Joc by skill and an all round entertainer via nature. His talent is raw but seems to get the crowd and the fans in a frenzy when he either selects for the sound (So-Sikk Movements) or simple performing as Rafaa Records lead out artist.
The “Jordan 1” single is out now and is being distributed by Vpal Records. The instrumental was mixed by the famous “Diddy Country ” (Former engineer at Friends For Real). His debut EP which is due out in a month or two is also being distributed by VPal. Rafaa Records and the team is confident that this summer will be theirs and it will be a testimony to the team pulling together through the pandemic and finishing up these projects.
We look forward to seeing and hearing from our fans as we look into the future tour schedule.
