Fortunately in the midst of his public falling out with friend Notnice and feud with Jah Vinci its business as usual for the Unruly Boss. Hours ago Popcaan released the visuals for his track Numbers Don’t Lie. The tracks comes off his January album Vanquish. In addition, following that release, Poppy dropped a brand new single, Here To Stay.
Its public knowledge that Popcaan has been making the headlines for the wrong reasons for his bust-up with Notnice and Jah Vinci. The bust-ups are connected and stem from a wage dispute between Popcaan and longtime friend Notnice years ago. The pair were not just friends but are family as Notnice fathers a child with Poppy’s sister Annalecia. Annalecia popularly known as Unruly Squid decided not to take sides and has urged fans to focus more on the Covid-19 Coronavirus. Whether the bridges can be mended is another question but for the trio’s sake I hope decency can prevail. Much of Popcaan’s success is owed to Notnice and it will be such a loss if they cannot make music together again. In addition what does it do for the family dynamic with Annalecia and her child?
