Latifa Brown, born on 12 December 1983 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a dancehall and reggae artist. She started her career in 2005 at her grandfather’s label called Diamond Rush Records. She was no stranger to music because she also sang in the choir and her grandmother owned a bar and restaurant which exposed her to music and dancing at a very young age. Growing up she had to get 3 surgeries for her feet because she had a disease called Blount’s Disease that affected her feet making her sit in a wheelchair for one full year when she was in her 1st high school year. Producers Equiknoxx and Ward 21 did her songs titled “Crawny Girl” and ” Kitty Police” though in 2008 “Bottom Of The Barrel” made some serious waves that she had a tour in Europe with Ward 21. The Czech Republic welcomed her as their 1st female dancehall singer ever. “Spell It Out” was another single released in 2009 and produced by Ward 21. She won awards namely the Youth View Awards and Excellence In Music and Entertainment and she toured North America and the Caribbean. She has done a fair share of collaborations with Ludacris, Natalie Storm, and many others. Tifa released singles like “Jealous Ova” in 2015 and in 2018, “JA Party” and “Buss A Shine.” Curry Goat and Champagne was the album she released in 2018 and she continues making more music on various riddims. She is a superstar that has been unstoppable to this date.
