Look Out For Nailah Blackman

There is a gem from Trinidad and Tobago I admit I have overlooked for years. My articles are normally focused on reggae and dancehall and not so much soca, which explains why I had possibly overlooked Nailah Blackman. Nailah’s recent hit ‘Slow Wine’ features Konshens and the video has fans (including myself) drooling over the Trinidadian songstress.

The Precision Records track comes off Bittersweet Riddim and has the bombshell strutting her stuff in her sultry video. Konshens takes a back seat in the track allowing Nailah to shine. Nailah hits all the right notes musically showcasing her unique vocals on top of her sexy dance moves.

Miss Blackman exudes confidence and her lively fun-spirited jams including Boujee, will have you paying more attention to her as well as the genre.

If you think of Barbados, you probably think of Rihanna and I would say Nailah for Trinidad and Tobago. The songstress has bag loads of talent and is probably one song away from making it huge internationally. Look out for this soca goddess. She is definitely worth your time.
